Dhanraj Chhaganlal & Co.

Our place is located right at 538/539 in the Market Yard. If you know this area, it gets really crowded in the mornings with all the carts and people moving around everywhere. Dhanraj Chhaganlal & Co. has been operating out of these two units for a long time now. It is mostly just stacks of bags and boxes piled up everywhere you look. We spend the day checking orders and talking to the different traders who come through the yard for their supplies. It gets loud and there is always someone shouting about a delivery or where a driver should park his truck. We don't really have much space for a proper office, so we just sit where we can among the stock with our papers. The floor is usually covered in a layer of dust from the goods being moved. We try to keep track of everything, but in the middle of a busy Tuesday, it is a lot to manage. Some of the guys here have worked in the yard for decades. They know pretty much everyone. We just handle the buying and selling part of the business. It certainly isn't a quiet job. You eventually get used to the smell of the market and the constant noise of the gates opening and closing. We open up early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the arrivals. It is just steady, hard work. Nothing more to it than that. We are just one of the many shops here.
