Delight Non Veg Foods

Working at Delight Non Veg Foods means dealing with a lot of heavy lifting. We are right over at Viman Nagar, specifically on Crescent Road near Shivananga Circle and Kumara Park. It is a busy intersection, and you can always hear the horns honking outside our door. The shop is not much to look at from the outside, just a plain front with some signs. Inside, it is mostly about the meat. We get deliveries early, and the first thing we do is clean the counters and get the knives sharpened. It is cold in the back where the freezers are, which is a nice break from the heat of the kitchen. My apron is usually stained by noon, no matter how careful I am. We do not really have a lot of space for people to sit, so it is mostly people coming in, grabbing their bags, and heading back out to the traffic. The floor gets slippery if we do not mop it every couple of hours, so that is a constant job. We keep the lights on late because that is when most people in Viman Nagar are heading home and thinking about dinner. It is a simple cycle of prepping, selling, and cleaning up. We do not do anything fancy, just keep the stock moving and make sure the place stays upright for the next morning. It is a lot of standing on your feet, but that is just how the day goes here.
