We are at the corner near Nehru Bridge on Nagar Road. It gets pretty busy around here during the lunch hour. The kitchen is usually noisy and smells like whatever we are cooking that morning. We've been at B 504 for a while now. Most people know us because of the location. Sometimes the bridge traffic makes it hard to get in, but we like it here. There are about six of us working in the back and two in the front. It’s not a huge place but we make it work. Most of our days are spent checking the stock and making sure things are fresh. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some tables and the equipment we need to do the job. Some of us live quite far and take the bus every morning. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get things ready for the day. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. People come in from the nearby offices or just stop by while they are walking across the bridge. We see a lot of the same faces every week which is nice. It feels more like a neighborhood spot than a big business. Sometimes we run out of things early and have to close up a bit sooner than planned. That’s just how it goes when you’re small.
