Deenanath Mangeshker Hospital

This part of the hospital is where a lot of the heavy lifting happens. We are based on the 4th floor in the B wing, specifically the medical and surgical ward here in Erandawane. If you walk down the hall, you will see the staff nurses constantly on the move between the rooms. It is a very busy floor. We deal with people who are recovering from surgeries or dealing with long-term medical issues, so there is never a dull moment. The shifts are long and the work is physically demanding, but it is what we do. We have our little nurse's station where we keep all the charts, and it is usually piled high with paperwork. It is not a quiet place by any means. You hear the beep of monitors and the sound of carts being pushed down the hallway all day and night. We are right in the heart of Erandwane, and the hospital is a big part of the community here. Most of us who work on the 4th floor have been together for a while, so we know how to work around each other even when things get stressful. We do not have any corporate scripts or fancy speeches. We just look after the people in the beds and try to make sure everything goes as it should until the next shift takes over.
