Our office for Datta Digambar Sahakari Dudh Vahtuk Sanstha Ltd is located on Katraj ITI Road. It is a long name, we know, but it’s what we have on the papers. Being near the ITI in Katraj means there are always students and people moving around the area. We handle the milk transport side of things, so our days are mostly about schedules and making sure the trucks are moving when they should. It is a co-operative society, so there are many people involved in how things run. We don't have a shiny office building; it’s a practical space on ITI Road where we can keep track of the routes. The morning hours are the most chaotic because that is when the milk has to get delivered. Once the sun is high, things quiet down a little bit in the office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to the drivers who come in and out. The Katraj area can be quite congested, especially during peak hours, so we have to plan around that. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the milk moving smoothly from one point to another. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, but that’s the nature of being a Sahakari Sanstha. We’ve been at this spot for a good while and most of the locals recognize our name on the board outside.
