D G Umbarge & Company is situated in Narayan Peth, specifically over at 512 Bhatni Wadi in Khodiyar Nagar. We are in the Swapnapurti Apartment building, which is quite close to the Patrya Maruti temple. It’s a traditional area with a lot of history and narrow lanes that can be a bit tricky to navigate if you aren't from around here. We’ve been here for years, and our office is just a regular room where we handle our business affairs. It gets quite lively during festival times because of the temple nearby. We do a lot of administrative and consultancy type work. It involves a lot of reading and keeping track of various documents. Our desks are usually covered in files, and there is always a pot of tea going somewhere. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us who know how to get things done. We talk to the people who live in the apartments and the shopkeepers on the street every day. It’s a close-knit community. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up some paperwork, but that’s part of the job. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just try to do our work correctly so that our clients don't have any trouble later on. It’s a steady, quiet life here in the Peth and we like it that way.
