Crystal Mobile Shopee & General Stores

Running Crystal Mobile Shopee & General Stores here in Punawale keeps me on my feet from morning until late at night. It’s a bit of a mix here because we have the mobile phones and accessories on one side and then all the general store stuff on the other. People come in for a new SIM card but then they remember they need soap or some biscuits for their kids. It makes for a busy day especially when the school nearby lets out. The shelves are packed with everything from notebooks to phone chargers and sometimes I forget where I put the smaller items. Punawale has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings going up, so we see a lot of new faces every week. I have a small stool behind the counter but I rarely get to sit on it for long. The fan hums a lot and the floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance where everyone walks in. Sometimes the delivery guys come in with big boxes and we have to move the snacks around to make space on the floor. It’s a lot of work keeping track of the inventory for both sides of the business. My brother helps out in the evenings so I can go home and eat. We don’t have any fancy displays, just the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a neighborhood shop like this one.
