Creative Traders

Sadashiv Peth is a crowded place and we are right in the middle of it at number 1280. We’ve been running Creative Traders from this spot for a good while now. It is not a very big space but we make it work. Most days start around ten when the shutters go up and the dust from the street gets on everything. We spend a lot of time just arranging the stock and talking to people who walk in looking for things. Some days are very slow and we just sit here listening to the traffic outside. The lanes around here are narrow so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where we try to keep what people need. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets during the festivals. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on orders. It’s just me and a couple of others here most of the time. We don’t do much advertising because people usually find us by word of mouth or by just passing through the Peth. The shop has stayed pretty much the same over the years. We haven't changed the sign or the interiors much. It’s a bit messy sometimes but we know where everything is kept on the shelves. That is just how it is here.
