Creative Engineers

Out here on Sinhagad Road, we are located in the Ajinkyatara Industrial Estate. Specifically, we are at S No-37-3 in Vadgaon Khurd. It’s a proper industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks moving around. Our space is more of a workshop than a fancy office. We deal with engineering stuff, which means grease, metal bits, and a lot of heavy tools. The floor is concrete and usually has some marks from where we moved equipment around. It gets quite dusty because of all the activity in the estate, but that's just part of the job. We have a small desk for paperwork, but most of the time we are on our feet. The commute to Vadgaon Khurd can be a bit long depending on the traffic, but once we’re here, we just get stuck into the work. We talk to the guys in the neighboring units quite a bit; everyone knows everyone else’s business. It’s a gritty environment, but it’s where real things get made or fixed. We don't have air conditioning in the main work area, so we just keep the big doors open for a breeze. It’s simple, hard work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations because we’d rather spend it on better tools for the shop. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in overalls trying to solve some mechanical puzzle or another. That is our life every day.
