Corner Mobile

Our shop is in the Vanarai Housing Colony, which is part of the larger Vishrantwadi area. Specifically, we are at 15/1504. It’s quite a way from the main Western Express Highway in Goregaon East, but we get a lot of people from the colony. Corner Mobile isn't a huge name or anything. We just sell what people need for their phones. Chargers, earphones, and the occasional new handset. The shop is small, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. Sometimes it feels like we are tripping over boxes of stock. We spend a lot of time sitting behind the counter waiting for the afternoon rush. The housing colony is quiet during the day, which is nice. We get to know the neighbors. If someone's phone stops charging, they bring it to us. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just swap out batteries or fix charging ports. The light in the shop flickers sometimes, and we really should get the landlord to look at it. We don't have uniforms or a fancy sign. It’s just us in our regular clothes. We try to be helpful, but we are just normal people trying to earn a living. The commute to Goregaon can be rough, so we usually stay late to avoid the worst of it. It’s a simple corner shop in a big city.
