Compustitch

In Nutan, Lokmanya Nagar, you will find us at 5/52. Compustitch is basically a room full of machines and thread. It’s a quiet neighborhood compared to the main city, which I like. We do a lot of embroidery work here. The sound of the needles going up and down is like background music to us now. We have different colored threads everywhere—on the tables, on the floor, and in big plastic bins. My wife and I run the place, and we have a couple of workers who come in during the day. It’s a small operation, really. We get orders from local tailors and sometimes from individuals who want something special on their clothes. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that people sometimes miss if they aren't looking. The space is a bit cramped because the machines take up so much room. We usually have a pile of fabric in the corner waiting to be worked on. Some days are very long when we have a lot of work to finish, and we stay up late under the tube lights. We don't use any fancy computers for the business side, just a simple ledger and some notes on the wall. It’s a basic setup, but we know where everything is and how it all works. We try to finish everything on time so customers don't have to wait.
