Compuciti

Being on M G Road means it's always noisy outside. We are right across from Chandan Stores, which helps people find us when they get lost. Compuciti is basically a room full of monitors and cables. We spend the morning checking emails and then it's mostly hardware stuff for the rest of the day. The Camp area is busy, so we get all sorts of people walking in. Some are in a real hurry, others just want to talk about their old PC that finally died after ten years. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't holding a soldering iron at that moment. The shelves are a bit cluttered with old boxes and spare parts we might need someday. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the internet goes down and we just sit there waiting for it to come back so we can finish a driver download. It’s a small operation here. We handle what comes through the door. If it's a cracked screen or a virus, we look at it. There’s no big corporate strategy. We just open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished or we get too tired. It’s just how we work. We don't use fancy uniforms. We just wear what's comfortable for working on dusty machines. It is a bit loud with the traffic, but we are used to it by now.
