C/O Panacea Hospital

If you know Panvel, you know how crazy it gets near the S.T. Bus Depot. We are located in the Sai Arcade in the Mission Compound Line Ali, right opposite that depot. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It’s a very busy spot. Being part of Panacea Hospital means we see a lot of people who are just passing through or who live in the crowded parts of Panvel. The arcade itself has a lot of shops, so there’s always people moving around outside. Inside the hospital, we try to keep things a bit more organized, but it can get loud. We have a lot of benches for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. The floors are tiled and we mop them several times a day because of all the foot traffic. I usually spend my time at the desk handling the files and talking to people who come in looking confused about where to go. It’s a lot of work, and by the end of the shift, my feet usually ache. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a place for medical care. People come here because it’s convenient and they know we are here. We just keep doing the same things every day, helping whoever walks through the door from the bus station or the neighborhood. The noise outside is just part of our workday now.
