Our place is tucked away in Gurudatta Society over in the Dhankawadi area of Pune. If you know this part of the city, you know it stays pretty busy with students and families moving around all the time. Cms Computer Ltd isn't some corporate headquarters; it is a local setup where we spend our hours looking at screens and fixing whatever comes through the door. The office feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of inventory delivered, but we make it work. Usually, there is a half-finished cup of tea sitting on someone's desk and a lot of chatter about the traffic on the main road. The light in the society is okay in the mornings, but we have to turn on all the overheads by four o'clock. We have been here long enough that the security guard at the gate knows us all by name. It is a simple routine of showing up, checking the emails, and getting into the guts of whatever computer is giving someone trouble that day. Sometimes the power cuts out for a minute and we all just sit there waiting for the backup to kick in so we can finish our tasks. It is just honest work in a normal Pune neighborhood. We don't do anything fancy, just keep the computers going for the folks who need them. The society is mostly quiet in the afternoons, which helps us focus on the trickier repairs.
