Classic Frozen Foods

Our place, Classic Frozen Foods, is situated in Bibwewadi, specifically at Gobindpura Sardar 415. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the cold. We have several large walk-in freezers that run all day and night. The sound of the compressors is basically the background music of our lives. We store all kinds of frozen goods, from vegetables to ready-to-eat meals. The walls are painted a plain white, and we have clipboards hanging everywhere to keep track of the temperatures and the dates. It’s a lot of logistical work, making sure the old stock moves out before the new stuff comes in. We wear heavy jackets even in the middle of summer because of the time we spend inside the units. The loading dock is always a bit of a mess with empty pallets and plastic wrap. We have a couple of drivers who handle the deliveries to local stores around Bibwewadi. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we all get a bit nervous, but the backup generator usually kicks in. We aren't a corporate chain; it's just a local operation run by a few of us who have been in the food business for a long time. We spend our days checking manifests and loading crates. It’s cold, hard work, and we don't have much time for sitting around. We just make sure the food stays frozen and the customers get their orders on time.
