City Cell

City Cell is just a small mobile shop located in Warje 3. We handle a bit of everything when it comes to phones. Most of the day is spent looking at cracked screens or trying to figure out why someone's battery isn't charging anymore. It’s not a big corporate store with uniforms. Usually, it's just one or two of us behind the counter. People from around Warje come in when they have a problem or just want a new cover for their phone. We have a glass display case that’s seen better days, filled with chargers, cables, and some second-hand handsets. It can get pretty cramped when three or four people are inside at once. The street outside always has something going on, which keeps things interesting. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here. Sometimes we can fix a phone in twenty minutes, other times it takes a few days if we need a specific part. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and working with tiny screws. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what’s a waste of money. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the neighborhood. There's always a new model coming out, so we have to keep learning how things change. It’s just a normal local shop doing its thing. It isn't a flashy business, but it's ours and we work hard at it every day.
