Our company is tucked away on Karve Road in Pune. We operate out of a place called Kalpana Tarang, specifically unit 42/9. It’s actually the residence of Mrs. Sarojini Mandpe, which gives our workspace a very different feel from a standard tech park. It’s more like working from a home office. We do a lot of technical work here, mostly involving software and various computer systems. Karve Road is always busy, but once you step inside the society, it gets much quieter. We have our computers set up in a couple of the rooms, and it’s a very informal atmosphere. We don’t wear suits or have big board meetings. Instead, we just sit around, maybe have some tea, and work through whatever coding or support tasks are on the list for the day. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because it’s easy to talk to everyone and get things decided quickly. The space is a bit lived-in, with lots of cords and old manuals on the shelves. It’s a practical way to run a tech business without all the unnecessary overhead. Most of us have been working together here for a long time. We usually order in some snacks if we have to work through the weekend on a big project.
