Chore Hospital

We are out on Pabal Road in Shirur. The hospital is right there on the main stretch, so it is easy to spot when you are driving by. It is a straightforward medical facility that has been serving the Shirur area for a long time. We have a few different sections for emergencies, general checkups, and more serious illnesses. The building is a plain concrete structure that we try to keep clean. Inside, the floors are stone and the walls have a few posters about health. We have a small staff of doctors and nurses who live nearby. It gets very busy on market days when more people are in town from the villages. The waiting area has some plastic chairs that have seen better days. We do our best to see everyone, but sometimes the wait is long when a lot of people come in at once. Pabal Road can be quite dusty, so we have to keep the front doors closed most of the time. We have basic diagnostic tools and a small lab for blood tests. It is not a high-end luxury hospital, just a place where you can get treated when you are sick. We deal with everything from farming accidents to the common cold. The electricity can be a bit spotty in Shirur, but we have a generator that kicks in. It’s just a normal hospital for normal people who need a doctor.
