China Park is a small eatery located at Koregaon Park A/1. We’ve been serving food in this neighborhood for a while now. The kitchen is small and we have a few burners where we toss things in heavy pans all day long. It gets quite smoky when we are busy with orders, but the exhaust fan does its best to clear the air. We have a few tables inside and a couple more outside on the pavement for when it's nice out. Koregaon Park is a trendy area with lots of fancy places, but we are just a simple spot for a quick bite. We don't have fancy tablecloths or waiters in uniforms. Usually, it's just one or two of us taking orders and bringing out the plates to the tables. The menu is written on a simple board near the counter. We use a lot of ginger and garlic in everything, so the smell is always there when you walk in. Sometimes we run out of napkins or the water cooler needs a quick refill, but we handle it as it comes. We get a lot of young people coming in after work or on the weekends for a meal. It’s not the quietest place to eat because of the music and the constant street noise outside. We just focus on getting the food right and making sure people have a place to sit down. It’s a modest operation here at A/1. We just keep our heads down and keep the pans moving.
