Progressive Engineers

Progressive Engineers is based at Gat No. 769 in Kudalwadi. We are right on Chikhali Road in the Pune area. It’s a gritty, hardworking neighborhood where everyone is making something. Our shop is no different. We have our machines set up and we work through the pile of jobs we have each week. It’s loud, and there’s usually the smell of cutting oil in the air. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The money goes into the tools and keeping the lights on. We have a small crew, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, and we order in some food and just keep at it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We’ve had some of the same customers for years because they know we’re just down the road on Chikhali Road. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that hanging on the wall. We just try to make sure the parts we send out are right. If there’s a mistake, we fix it and move on. It’s a simple way to run a shop. We’re just regular folks trying to make a living in Kudalwadi. If you stop by, don’t expect a suit and tie. You’ll just find us working at Gat No. 769.
