Charang Refractories & Enterprises

Out here in Khed, right in the Ramakada Market area, is where we run our business. Refractories might sound like a complicated word but it is mostly about bricks and linings for industrial furnaces. We carry the stuff that can handle a lot of heat without melting. The market is always crowded so getting our delivery trucks in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We have a small warehouse space where we keep all the heavy stock. It involves a lot of lifting every day. My back usually feels it by the time evening rolls around. We get folks from the small factories nearby coming in. They might need a few bags of special cement or some fire bricks and they know to come to us. We have had this shop for many years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we never seem to find the time for that. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to provide what the local guys need for their ovens. Sometimes the dust from the materials gets everywhere in the office. You cannot really help it in this line of work. We keep a big ledger on the desk to track what goes out. It is all very manual here. We do not use computers for everything. If someone calls we pick up the phone.
