Chandrakant Pan Shop

Chandrakant Pan Shop is over in Sadashiv Peth, right near the Navpad Society on Vikas Gruh Road. This is one of the older parts of the city, so the streets are a bit narrow and crowded. We have been operating here for a very long time, and because of that, most of the neighbors know us by our names. It is a small shop, and we do not have much extra room for anything except the absolute essentials. We prepare different types of pan using the same recipes we have relied on for many years. It is not a fancy place with bright neon lights or anything like that. We just have a simple counter and some wooden shelves for the tobacco and other supplies. Being located on Vikas Gruh Road means we see a lot of people walking by on their way to the other shops or back to their homes. It is a friendly neighborhood. Sometimes we run out of small change, so we have to ask people to check their pockets or wait a minute while we run to the shop next door to break a note. It just happens sometimes. We do not have a big team of people, it is usually just me and sometimes my son helps out when he is not busy with his other work. We take care to keep the betel leaves fresh by washing them and keeping them wrapped in wet cloth during the heat.
