We are set up in Shree Ram Society, which sits right near the Chandannagar Bypass. Because we are so close to the bypass, there is always a bit of a hum from the vehicles going past, but inside the society, it is actually quite peaceful. Our office is basically a converted space within one of the residential blocks. It feels more like a home than a corporate building, which we actually prefer. We have a few rooms set up with computers and some basic office furniture. There are trees outside the window that give some shade during the afternoon. Most of the people working here live in this part of town, so we don't have to deal with long commutes. We usually start our day around nine and keep at it until the evening. We do various types of information work and technical support here. There is a small balcony where we sometimes stand to get some fresh air. The flooring is simple tile and we have some basic shelves for our files. It is a very down-to-earth place without any fancy logos on the walls or expensive rugs. We just focus on getting the work done and keeping things organized. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside, and you can hear them through the glass. It is a very local, honest kind of workplace for the four of us.
