Chaitrali Foods

Chaitrali Foods is located at Guruwar Peth 7th Cross 20. It's a quiet little corner, but we stay pretty busy inside. We focus on homemade snacks and things that people usually don't have time to make themselves anymore. Think of things like pickles, papads, and spice mixes. It’s mostly women working here, and we talk a lot while we work. The sound of chopping and grinding is constant from morning until evening. We don't use any big industrial grinders because they change the flavor, so we stick to the smaller ones even if it takes longer. Sometimes the spice dust makes everyone sneeze, which is always a bit funny. We pack everything into simple bags and jars. People around Guruwar Peth know they can just walk in and ask for a small packet of whatever we just finished. We don’t have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. It’s more like a workshop that happens to sell things. Some days the rain leaks a little near the back door, and we have to move all the jars, but we manage. It’s a simple life, making food that people enjoy in their own kitchens. We aren't looking to expand into some big factory or anything like that. We like things just the way they are right here on 7th Cross. We’ve been here for years and hope to be here for many more.
