Our hospital is right here in PMC Colony. In fact, the address is just listed as PMC Colony, which tells you how much we are a part of this specific spot. Chaitanya Hospital is a local place where we know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s not a shiny, new building with glass elevators. It’s a practical space that has seen a lot of use over the years. We have a front desk where there is usually a stack of paperwork and a phone that doesn't stop ringing. The rooms are basic, with the necessary beds and equipment, but nothing over the top. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we have a good feel for what's going on in the neighborhood. Some days are slow and we spend time tidying up the medicine stock, and other days it feels like everyone in the colony has come in at once. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website with flashy photos. We just have our doors open for whoever needs us. It can be a bit noisy when the shifts change and everyone is talking at once, but that’s just how it is in a working hospital. We focus on the daily tasks—checking temperatures, giving out medicine, and making sure everyone is as comfortable as they can be in a hospital bed.
