We are set up at units 6 and 7 in Gogul Nagar, right near Dnyaneshwar Paduka Chowk on Fergusson College Road. If you know FC Road, you know it is one of the busiest streets in the city. There is always a crowd outside, mostly students and people shopping. Our shop is where we handle air conditioning work. We have old units sitting around for parts and new ones waiting to be installed. The air in here usually smells like refrigerant and dust. It is a small space for all the equipment we carry, so things are piled up pretty high. We spend most of our time out on calls, fixing ACs in offices and homes, but this is where we come back to grab tools or do repairs that we could not finish on-site. Being near the chowk is handy for people to find us, though parking is a nightmare most of the time. We have been in this spot for a while now, and we have seen shops around us change hands many times. We just keep doing our thing, cleaning filters and fixing compressors. It is loud, it is often hot when we are working on the outdoor units, and our clothes usually have a few grease stains. We do not have a receptionist; if you call, one of the guys will just pick up the phone while they are working on a machine.
