Biryani Master

Our place is in Kothrud, specifically at Hal 3rd Stage on the 100 Feet Road 41280. It’s a wide road, so it’s easy to find us. Biryani Master isn't a big restaurant with waiters and white tablecloths. It’s more of a place where you come in, get your plate, and find a spot to sit down. We use big metal pots for the cooking, and they take up a lot of room in our kitchen. Every morning we start by cutting onions and getting the rice soaked. The smell of the spices can be quite strong, and it stays on our clothes all day. We try to make enough to last until the evening, but some days we sell out faster than we thought we would. It’s just a few of us working here. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up when it’s really crowded, but we try to fix it quickly. The chairs are just plastic ones, and the lighting is a bit dim, but people don't seem to mind much as long as the food is hot. We don't do much advertising; mostly it’s just people who live nearby or work in the offices on 100 Feet Road. We’ve been here for a bit and we know the delivery guys by name. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. Most days we are too tired to do much else besides cleaning up the rice grains that fall on the floor.
