Billis Food Corner

You can find Billis Food Corner over in Camp, on the 23rd Cross of K R Road, at number 241. It’s a small corner shop, hence the name. We don't have a huge menu. We just make a few things that we know how to do well. The neighborhood is pretty old and has a lot of character. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every single day. I usually start the day by sweeping the front and setting out the chairs. The morning sun hits the front of the shop directly, so it gets quite warm early on. We have a small fridge for drinks and a stove for the hot food. It’s mostly just me and one other person helping out. We talk to the customers about the weather or the local news while they eat. It’s a very relaxed vibe here. We don't have any fancy decor, just some plain tables and a few pictures on the wall. Sometimes the delivery guy is late with the bread, and we have to tell people to wait ten minutes. Most people don't mind; they just sit and scroll on their phones. We try to keep things clean and tidy, but it's an old building, so it has its quirks. When the sun goes down, we turn on the yellow lights and it feels quite cozy. It’s a decent way to earn a living.
