Bholenath Pan Shop

Bholenath Pan Shop sits over in Hadapsar, specifically in the Chandanwad area near Marine Lines. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but people find us anyway. I remember when we first moved everything in here, the walls were bare and we didn't have much of a counter. Now, the place is full of small boxes and the smell of the ingredients we use every day. Living and working in Hadapsar means dealing with a lot of dust from the construction nearby, so I spend a good amount of time dusting off the glass jars. We stay open pretty late because that is when the Marine Lines area finally starts to cool down a bit. My hands are usually busy mixing things or sorting through the leaves we get delivered in the mornings. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly. I have a small radio that plays in the background, though the signal is not always great in this part of Chandanwad. Sometimes the regulars stay for a while just to talk about their families or the weather. Bholenath Pan Shop isn't a fancy establishment with a big sign, just a local spot where we do our work. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the counter gets a bit messy with scraps and wrappers. It’s just how a real shop looks when people are actually using it. We like it here despite the noise and the heat.
