Bhawani General Stores

Bhawani General Stores is in Aundh on MG Road. We are specifically in Unnanat Nagar at Bhagyashree Chambers, Shop No 3, on D P Road. It is a busy corner of the world. Our shop is where you go for all the random things you realize you need at the last minute. We have snacks, soap, stationery, and some household plastic items too. The shelves are packed tight and sometimes things fall off if you are not careful when reaching for a packet of biscuits. We know most of the people who live in the apartments around here. They stop by on their way home from work or in the morning to get milk and bread for breakfast. D P Road always has cars and bikes zooming past, so it is never quiet. We have a small counter where we stand all day. My father started this business and now I help run it. We do not have a fancy computer system, we just know the prices or look at the stickers. It is a lot of lifting heavy boxes when the stock arrives on Tuesdays. The shop gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. We try to keep everything where people can see it easily. It is just a regular life running a store. We deal with the heat and the rain and just keep the door open for whoever walks in.
