Bharati Engineering

Bharati Engineering is located at Sr No 103 on Y C M Road in Pimpri. It is a very busy area because the big YCM hospital is nearby, so there are always people and cars moving around. Our shop is one of many in this stretch. We do a lot of general engineering and repair work. The space is quite narrow, so we have to be careful about where we put things. We have a couple of lathes and a milling machine that take up most of the floor space. There is always a layer of oil and metal shavings on the ground, no matter how much we sweep. It’s not a place where you would want to wear nice clothes. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the street noise. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who need something welded or a part made for a machine. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name Bharati Engineering painted on the door. It’s a small operation, usually just two or three of us working at a time. We don’t really have a set closing time; if there is a job that needs finishing, we stay until it’s done. It’s just how we’ve always operated here in Pimpri. It's a simple life of fixing things and making sure the measurements are right. We keep a stash of old parts in the back just in case.
