Bharat Structurals & Equipments is situated on Talawade Road. It’s an open kind of place because we need the space for the big structures we handle. The wind blows a lot of dust across the road and into our yard, so everything has a thin layer of grey on it. We spend our days dealing with heavy beams and various types of equipment. It’s the kind of work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We have a small office on the side, but nobody spends much time in there unless they have to do the books. Most of the action happens outside under the sheds. We don’t have a big fancy gate or a paved driveway. It’s mostly just gravel and dirt. Talawade Road has become busier over the years, but our routine stays mostly the same. We wake up, get to the site, and start moving steel. We don’t really do any advertising. Most people who need structural work know where we are. We have some old trucks that we use for hauling, and they require a lot of maintenance to keep them on the road. It’s a very hands-on business. There isn't much room for mistakes when you're moving things that weigh a few tons. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay safe while doing it. It’s a tough environment but we’ve gotten used to it.
