Bharat Stores

Bharat Stores has been here in Bhawani Peth for quite some time now. We are located at number 259, right near the Bhavani Mata Mandir. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with all the temple visitors and the local traffic moving through the narrow streets. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at. It is just a regular place where we keep the usual things people need for their kitchens and homes. Most days start early for us, getting the shutters up and making sure the jars are filled and the floor is swept. You can see the temple from our doorstep, and the sound of the bells is pretty much our background noise all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped inside when more than three or four people come in at once because we try to fit as much stock as possible onto the shelves. We have bags of rice, lentils, and all the basic stuff stacked up. It is a lot of work keeping track of what is running low. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking on the street because it is so narrow, so we end up hauling crates ourselves. We know most of the people who walk in by their first names since they live just a few houses away. It is just how things are run here in this part of Pune.
