Bharat Scrap Center

Bharat Scrap Center is located out in Baner Gaon at the Agarwal Industrial Estate. It is a very different kind of environment compared to the shops in the city center. Here, everything is big and heavy. We deal with piles of metal, old machinery, and all sorts of things that people no longer have a use for. The yard is usually quite dusty, and the sound of metal clanging against metal is something you hear all day long. We have a big weighing scale that is the most important piece of equipment we own. Our days are spent unloading trucks and sorting through different types of scrap. It is hard, dirty work, and our clothes usually show it by lunch time. The industrial estate has a rough, practical feel to it, and we fit right in. We have a small office area where we keep our records, but we spend most of our time outside in the yard. In the summer, the sun makes the metal piles very hot to the touch, so we have to wear thick gloves. It is not a glamorous job, but it is necessary work. We see a lot of truck drivers and factory workers who come by to drop off materials. We don't have any fancy corporate offices or polished reception areas. It is just a yard, a scale, and a lot of hard work. We like the honesty of the labor here in Baner Gaon.
