Bhagyalaxmi Steel Centre

The shop is located at Krishna Hatti Chowk in Guruwar Peth. It’s been here for a good while now. We mostly keep steel utensils and items people use in their kitchens every day. If you walk into Guruwar Peth, you know how busy it gets with all the narrow lanes and people moving around. We are at number 54/55. Usually, someone is always rearranging the stacks of plates or cleaning the glasses. It’s a lot of work to keep the metal shining because of the dust from the road. We get a lot of locals who just need a single spoon or maybe a big pot for a family dinner. My father spent a lot of time here before I took over more of the daily tasks. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes the traffic at the chowk is so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We carry a mix of heavy-duty items and lighter stuff for regular use. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is kept. People mostly come to us because they know we've been in this spot for years and we don't move around. It's just a basic steel shop trying to keep things moving in this busy part of the city.
