Best Cushion

If you walk down Rasta Peth toward the Tirupati Apartment, you’ll find us near Nilesh Motors. Our shop is easy to spot because there’s usually a bit of foam or some fabric scraps sitting near the door. We spend our time fixing up cushions, sofas, and chairs that have seen better years. It’s a job that involves a lot of pulling, stapling, and sewing. Our hands are usually a bit rough from the work, but that’s just part of the trade. We have these old sewing machines that have a very specific rhythm to them. They’ve been with us for a long time. People bring in their old household items, and we help them pick out a new cloth from the stacks we keep in the corner. Our space isn’t very big, so things can get a bit cluttered when a large sofa comes in for repair. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a workshop where we get things done. Most of our customers live right here in the apartments or in the neighboring blocks. They know they can just drop by and have a chat about what needs fixing. We don’t make big claims about our work; we just try to do a solid job so the chair is comfortable to sit on again. It’s honest, steady work, and we enjoy the feeling of finishing a piece.
