We are located at Nana Peth in the Shastri Nagar area. If you find yourself at the Paud Road, you just need to look behind the Maha Auto Bus Stop. That is exactly where Baliwala & Sons is. Being right behind a bus stop means we hear the brakes squealing and the conductors shouting all day. It is a very local spot. The building is nothing special to look at, just a regular structure in a busy neighborhood. We have been here as a family-run business for a long time. Inside, things are organized in a way that only we really understand. There are shelves and old cabinets full of items we have collected over the years. It is not a corporate environment at all. We wear regular clothes and talk to everyone who walks in like we have known them forever. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door when it gets heavy. We just put a bucket there and keep going. The walk from the main road is short, but it can be muddy. Most of the people living in Shastri Nagar pass by our door at some point in the day. We see the same faces every morning when the buses start running. It is a steady life here. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just open up the shutters, do our work, and close up when the sun goes down. There is no stress about big goals or anything fancy.
