You can find us at Shop No 5 in the Cindrella Apartments on Sachapir Street. It’s an old part of town, and the street is quite narrow, which makes it interesting when people try to bring their vehicles close to the shop. We’ve been operating out of this apartment building for quite a while now. The shop itself is quite modest. We have a counter at the front and then rows of spares and tools towards the back. It’s often a bit dark inside, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. Sachapir Street has its own rhythm, with lots of people walking by and other small businesses right next to us. We handle mostly motor-related stuff, whether it’s finding a part someone needs or giving advice on what might be wrong with an engine. We don’t have a big sign or any flashing lights; most people know us by word of mouth or just because they live in the neighborhood. Some days we are just sitting there waiting for the next person to walk in, and other days it feels like everyone in Pune needs something at the same hour. We keep our paperwork in some old folders on a desk that has seen better days. It’s a simple way of living, and we just focus on getting through the day’s tasks without too much fuss.
