Our office is up on the third floor at 928 Budhwar Peth. It’s an old building with those narrow stairs, but it works for what we do. You have to walk up those steps every single day, which definitely keeps us moving even when we are tired. We deal with a lot of different supplies here, mostly hardware and small parts. The shelves are mostly full of stock that hasn't moved yet. Budhwar Peth is always crowded with shoppers and scooters, so it takes a lot of time just to get through the street some mornings. We've been in this specific space for a long time. It feels like home now with the peeling paint and the old wooden desks. Sometimes the light in the hallway is out, but we know the way by heart. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking through our thick paper ledgers. It’s not some big corporate setup with computers everywhere. It’s just us doing our daily business. We try to keep things organized, but when big orders come in, the floor gets a bit messy with tape and cardboard scraps. We drink a lot of tea while we work to stay awake. The windows look out over the busy shops below. It’s always noisy outside with all the rickshaws and people yelling to each other. We like being in this part of town because everything we need is close. If you come by, you’ll see we are just regular folks working hard.
