You can find us at Raviwar Peth 211-2, right in the heart of the busy market area. Babhutmal Trilokchand & Sons has been a name around here for a long time. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, which is just how things are in this part of town. When we open the doors in the morning, the whole street is already starting to wake up with the sound of carts and voices. Our space is filled with stacks of goods that reach almost to the ceiling. We have been doing things the same way for years, using old ledgers and keeping track of everything by hand mostly. There is a specific smell to the shop, a mix of old paper and the products we store. It is not a place with air conditioning or soft carpets. Instead, we have heavy wooden counters and floors that have seen a lot of footsteps over the decades. Sometimes it gets so crowded in the lane outside that it’s hard for the delivery trucks to get through. We just work through the piles of work and talk to the regulars who have been coming to us since they were young. Raviwar Peth is always loud, but inside the shop, we have our own rhythm. We don't bother with fancy displays. We just keep our stock ready and wait for the next person to walk through the door with a list of what they need. It’s a simple life of buying and selling stuff every single day.
