Baba Mobile

Baba Mobile is a small shop tucked into Guru Nanak Colony in the Viveknagar area of Akurdi. It’s not a huge store with glass walls and bright lights. It’s more of a local spot where people bring their phones when the screen cracks or the battery stops holding a charge. We spend most of our time behind a small counter with tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses. There are always boxes of cables and cases hanging on the walls. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people are inside at once. We know a lot of the families around Viveknagar because they’ve been coming to us since we first opened. Sometimes we’re just helping someone figure out a setting on their phone that they can't find. We don't charge for every little thing. It’s just about being part of the neighborhood. Akurdi is a fast-growing place, and we see new faces all the time too. We try to get repairs done quickly because everyone needs their phone these days. If a part isn't in stock, we have to wait for the delivery guy to bring it from the main market. We just tell people the truth about how long it will take. There’s no use promising something we can’t do by tomorrow. It’s a simple life running a phone shop.
