Our place is out on Marunji Road in Pune. We are in the Wisteriaa Fortune building, office C-301. The area has changed a lot over the last couple of years with all the new construction. It’s a bit of a drive for some of us, but the building itself is modern enough. Inside the office, it’s mostly just open space with rows of desks. We handle a lot of information systems stuff, so there’s a lot of typing and clicking going on throughout the day. It’s not a huge team, so we all end up knowing what everyone else is working on. Sometimes we have lunch together at the small tables near the window. We try to keep the place tidy, but when we’re deep into a project, papers and empty cups tend to pile up. The air conditioning is a bit finicky, so it’s either too cold or not quite enough. We don't really have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby; you just come up to the third floor and find us. It’s a practical way to work. We focus on getting the lists and systems updated without making a big fuss about it. Most of the time it’s just us and our computers, trying to stay ahead of the schedule. Marunji is a bit quieter than the center of Pune, which is actually kind of nice when you need to concentrate on the data. We just get on with it every single day.
