Atmaram Bhalekar

Atmaram Bhalekar stays over at Flat Number 5 in the Dhorenagar Vishwashanti Colony. This is in Pimple Saudagar which has grown so much lately it is hard to recognize it from a few years ago. We are right by Yashada Square and there is always something happening at that intersection. The colony is actually quite peaceful compared to the main road which is good for getting things done. I have set up my workspace right here in the flat because it is easier that way. Most of the neighbors know me and we see each other at the gate or near the local shops in the morning. Pimple Saudagar is full of new buildings now but this little corner of Dhorenagar still feels like a proper neighborhood. I usually have the window open to get some air but sometimes the dust from the construction nearby comes in so I have to shut it. It is just a basic setup with my computer and a lot of notebooks scattered around the table. People usually call before they come over because it is a residential building and I like to keep things simple. It is a practical way to work and I don't have to deal with a long commute every day like everyone else in Pune. The light is good in the mornings and that is when I do most of my heavy lifting.
