Atlantis Lab Pvt Ltd has a spot in Pune at the Hirayi Bungalow. It is in Bharati Nagar II, right off Paud Road in Kothrud. Working out of a bungalow is different from a typical office building. It has a bit more character, though we have had to make a lot of changes to make it work as a lab. Kothrud is a busy area with a lot of students and traffic on Paud Road, but once you step inside, it is pretty calm. We do a lot of scientific work here. There are benches with equipment and plenty of storage for all our supplies. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between different stations. The team is like a small family since we work in such close quarters. We usually eat lunch together in the small garden area if the weather isn't too hot. Pune weather is usually okay, but the afternoons can get stuffy. We handle a lot of local requests for testing. We aren't a big chain, just this location and a couple of others. We don't use fancy jargon when people ask what we do. We just tell them we test things and give them the results. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. We have been here for a while and the neighbors don't mind us.
