Asmita Engineering Equipments is situated in the J-54 block of the M. I. D. C. in Bhosari, Pune. If you know Pune’s industrial side, you know Bhosari is where a lot of the real work happens. Our place is basically a big shed full of equipment and tools. It’s not fancy, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We spend our hours assembling parts and checking on the machinery that goes out to other factories. It’s often loud because of the neighbors and our own machines, but that’s just the sound of the MIDC. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and they know the equipment better than anyone. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with long meetings and reports. Usually, we just talk over a cup of tea in the morning about what needs to get out the door by evening. Sometimes the orders come in all at once and we have to scramble to keep up, but we usually find a way. The commute through Pune traffic can be a pain, but once we are here, we just focus on the metal and the machines. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to do our part in the industrial chain and keep the local supply moving along as best we can.
