Ashwini Market

We are located in the Shivprasad Housing Society, specifically in the Niwara Building. It’s Plot No. 2 on Dattawadi Road, right near Krishna Hospital here in Pune. Being near a hospital means we see a lot of different people coming and going at all hours. We keep the shop stocked with things that families in the society might need at the last minute. Maybe they forgot milk or need some extra snacks for guests. The building is a good spot, but it can get quite busy with the traffic on Dattawadi Road. We have been here for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit. It’s not a massive market like the ones in the city center, but we have enough to keep people happy. We spend our time checking dates on the packets and cleaning the glass jars. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags and rearranging the display. Sometimes we get tired of the noise from the street, but you get used to it after a few months. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and some common sense. People stop by after visiting the hospital or when they are coming home to the society. It’s a practical place for practical people. We just try to stay stocked up on the basics and keep the place running smoothly every day of the week.
