Ashwini Hospital

Down in the Krishnanagar area of Chinchwad, you will find Ashwini Hospital. It is tucked into a spot that is surrounded by a mix of small houses and workshops. Because of that, the atmosphere around the hospital is always a bit energetic. The building itself is not very large, so we have to use every bit of space we have. There are cabinets tucked into corners and desks squeezed into small rooms. The floors are made of that old-fashioned linoleum that has worn down in the spots where people walk the most. We have a small team here, and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is filing papers or helping someone into a chair. The windows look out onto the street, and you can see the daily life of Chinchwad passing by. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we keep the shades pulled down halfway to keep the glare out. We don't have any big slogans or marketing posters on the walls. Mostly, it is just health charts and schedules for the doctors. People from the nearby factories often drop by, still in their work clothes, to get checked out. It is a practical place for practical people. We don't try to be anything other than a local hospital that handles the daily bumps and bruises of the neighborhood we live in.
