Ashish Pressing Works

I work out of Bhosari, specifically near the Virgonagar Post area. Ashish Pressing Works is located right on the Battarahalli Main Road. It’s an industrial sort of place, so there is always the sound of machinery and heavy vehicles passing by. My day starts early because the morning air is a bit cooler for the kind of work we do. Pressing involves a lot of repetitive movement, and the shop can get quite warm. We have different machines set up in the space, and they’ve been with us for a long time. They aren't the newest models, but they get the job done right. The Battarahalli Main Road is always dusty, so I find myself sweeping the shop floor a few times a day just to keep things decent. Bhosari is a tough place to work sometimes, but it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. I usually have tea with the guys from the neighboring shops in the afternoon. We talk about the price of materials or how the road needs fixing. Most of our day is just focused on the orders that come in. It’s loud and busy, and by the end of the shift, my hands are usually pretty tired. But that’s just how it goes when you run a pressing works. We don't have a big office or anything, just the workspace and a small desk where I keep my notes and the phone.
