Ashish Electronics is right in the middle of Moshi GIDC Colony. If you know the area, you know it gets busy with all the industrial movement around here. The shop isn't very large, but we have shelves stacked up to the ceiling with various components and circuit boards. Usually, there is a smell of solder in the air because someone is always fixing a board at the back bench. The light is a bit dim in the corners, so we use these desk lamps that we’ve had for years. Customers walk in with all sorts of broken gadgets or lists of parts they need for their own projects. We don't have a fancy display window or anything like that. It is more of a practical space where people come because they know we have the specific capacitor or wire they are looking for. Most of the morning is spent checking the new stock that arrives in boxes. We have to count everything by hand to make sure nothing got lost in transit. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks near the entrance. Sometimes we sit out front on the plastic chairs when the power goes out, just waiting for things to come back on. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when the big trucks rumble past on the main road outside. We just keep our heads down and handle the work that comes in that day. We often stay late just to finish off the repairs that piled up.
