Arvind Provision Stores

Lonavala is a nice place to be, even when the fog gets thick. Arvind Provision Stores is tucked away in the Kesariaji Society area in Vasan. We’ve been here for quite some time now, just serving the people who live nearby. It’s a quiet corner compared to the main tourist spots. Inside, it’s mostly bags of rice, dals, and all the kitchen basics people run out of. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and making sure the jars are lined up. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees nearby come close to the door, so we have to keep an eye out. The shop isn't very large, so we know where everything is kept. If a customer can't find something, I usually just reach behind the counter and hand it over. It’s a steady kind of work. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big management team. It’s just a family-run spot where we talk about the weather or the local news while weighing out grains. The floor is old stone and it stays cool even in the summer. We like being part of Kesariaji Society. It feels like home more than a business. We just want to make sure the pantry staples are always available for the families around Vasan without them having to travel too far for their groceries. It is a simple way to spend the day.
